Hi PCLOP,
If a firmware version of ELU32 is R4F (from SP7),
there is a published service advice for that firmware:
Subject: New Service Advice for IP recommendations in BC12 systems has been released[Scanned]
Hi All
Jitter buffer configuration:
In the SP7 package VOIPF R4F was released.
It has now come to our knowledge that if the application parameter 109 is changed from default (3) and the adaptive jitter buffer is turned off, there is a chance that the amount of lost packages increases and results in lower speech quality.
This problem starts if jitter buffer size is set to a higher value then 6 (60ms) by application parameter 191 or 235.
To avoid this situation please try to keep the default value of PARNUM 109, until next release of VOIPF is available that will correct this.
IP telephone application R4F:
In the R4F application the new flag CompatibleWithR3Applications was introduced in the configuration file. The value YES shall be used when there is a network with mixed IP telephone applications R3x and R4x but also when there are DBC 413 01 IP telephones in the network. The value NO should be used when all the telephones have an application R4F or later. NO is the default value.
After SP7 was released, we have found a fault in the routine for this parameter, which means that when the parameter is set to NO there is no speech connection in one traffic case.
Until the next release of application, the recommendation is to set the parameter to YES.
In addition Ericsson has recalled all ELU32 boards with board revision lower than R6A.
Hope that helps!!
