I have a windows 2000 server with SP4 and exchange 2000. I've enabled routing and remote access and enabled Routing on both tabs when you bring up properties of the server.
This server is multihomed and hosts from one subnet cannot ping to hosts on the other subnet. They can ping the NIC thats located on the alternate subnet, but this NIC will not forward the requests out the subnet.
192.168.6.0/24 |server| 192.168.2.0/24
Server IP addresses are 192.168.6.2 & 192.168.2.8. Hosts from the 192.168.6.x network can ping the NIC in the alternate subnet, but cant ping hosts in the alternate subnet. I've even tried a registry edit that should force IP forwarding. ( ) I've rebooted after all changes. No luck yet.
