Hi all,

I know what I'm going to ask is (probably) not officialy supported.

Can IP Dect R4 base station(s) register to secondary IP Office in case primary fails - Resilicance SCN?

I've seen in documentation for DECT R4 that you can add secondary gatekeeper, so probably should work, but at this time don't have any IP DectR4 station to test it...

In IPO Manager Help documentantion supported IP phones for (Resilience SCN) backup are 16xx, 46xx & 56xx.

Has anyone tried that?

Thanks in advance...

I doubt it would work to be honest, the programming is not in place for the trunk in the second IP office to only register upon failure of the primary IP Office, it is specifically part of R5 programming to register another systems handsets when the LAN1 or power fails but not IP DECT trunks :)

You can not set a second ip address
This is only possible with the Aastra version

Thanks for reply ... it seems I'll have to offer CM with LSP

Oke i tested it
Yes you can make a second trunk and yes the phones will make there extensions on the second ipo

If you pull the power on the first ipo the phone register on the second ipo but sometimes you need to try a couple of times to get dialtone

So it is not very good but it works (most of the time)

If redundancy is that important you really need to go for a CM
If not then you good give it a try
