Hello everyone, not my first experience with ip dect base station, i have many client with dect.

New install, 2 new base station same problem...not able to default them..
I`ve done everything by the book wich is:

This process will default the base station, erasing its configuration. After the base station restarts it will default to the IP address 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0.

1. With the base station not connected to anything else, connect the power supply and switch on.

2. Wait approximately 5 seconds.

3. Using a fine point, depress the base station's reset switch for at least 10 seconds until the upper LED starts to flash alternately green red.

4. Release the switch and then depress it again once rapidly.

5. The base station will restart.

6. After approximately 5 seconds the base station will default to the address 192.168.0.1.

NOT WORKING

I try put it on my DHCP network and find the address ...NOT WORKING

I try to old the reset button and power on the base...still NOT WORKING

I try the http//ipbs-**-**-** NOT WORKING

Already done almost 50 base station in different customer site never had this problem...did anything change on the way to default those base???
Thanks

Keep the reset button pushed for more then 10 seconds.
The bottom led will turn orange.
let go of the button and press it once shortly.

Now it will boot in default mode.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

But what does not work then?

Power up the unit.

Wait 5 seconds then press the reset button for 10 seconds, release the resetbutton wait 5 seconds and press it once again. It then should have the default IP address 192.168.0.1

If you unplug it after this it will switch to dhcp mode.

Buttom light keep flashing red/green an not able to acces the base station, one of the base is ok now after multiple reset..

So if you reset more than one dect at a time you will get e ip conflict on 192.168.0.1 :-)

Bas1234 only one base at the time, dont worry :-)

Flashing means no ethernet connection.
So that is your problem.

Yeah i know but there is a ethernet connection, that`s why i found it strange..

Not if it is flashing red and green!!!
I have seen this on a Netgear switch where there were more then 10 base stations connected.
When i rebooted the switch then only 10 or 11 would boot and the rest did not get an ethernet connection.

Do you use a Netgear switch?

Try using wireshark and see what is happening.
I believe you about strange things happening because i have seen those weird issues too.
But there is not one base station that i have not got working!

I guess your are right tlpeter, after 3 different switch, i took an old 4 port cisco poe switch an it come up first time...this one was really a pain, i just dont get it...are those base station too fussy or what?
Anyway thanks for your help guys :-)

I think it has to do with POE but i never got a hand on it.

Had this a few times, normally when trying to build them on one of the cisco switches we have here. Had to default one about ten times before it came up. Once it's up it's fine. Weird issue.
