If I have a center stage connecting all my port networks and want to convert them to IPSI connect, do I have to put DSP (MedPro) resources in every port network?

Yes. The MedPro/Crossfire boards replace the fiber for inter-port network communication.

not what I was hoping for,,,now I have to put at least 2 dsp resource in a PN to keep from loosing that PN. Thats gonna get expensive.

I have been lobbying to leave the center stage,,,I am an old guy and have never seen one of them fail...

Same here. If it works why replace it. Avaya is pushing to get rid of the 'old' technology by dropping support but there are plenty of parts available from vendors that came from customers that bought into the propoganda. Take some of the money you were going to spend on the conversion ($$$$) and spend ($) creating a Center-Stage Crash Kit: TN573, TN572, TN570, and some transceivers. Add in a DS-1 Converter if you have any remote EPNs.
