I have a user on the east coast who I'm trying to set up as a remote TAC user. We have a Definity G3si V. 12 and we're using IP Agent R5.
We have a CLAN card but no MEDPRO.
We've set up user's in the past but the Tech that was here before me set this up without writing procedures so I don't know how it was done since it's not something that Avaya is telling me is possible without a MEDPRO.
The user that is set up properly is ext 3409. He has a set type of 8434D. He has to VPN into our network in order to take calls from the ACD.
The user that is not working is 3410. He has the same thing 3409 has but when I status the station it says "Out-of-service."
I understand that without a MEDPRO there's a way to "trick" the switch into providing a talk path for the IP Agent Softphone, but I'm having trouble getting it to work.
Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks.
