My current set up is as follows, I'm using a router and connected to the internet with cable videotron. I wanted to know if there is a way to change my ip address?

Also, I'm using, win98, winxp and wind 2000 on my home network.

Which IP?
I'm guessing public IP... that really depends on your provider. The easiest way to change your IP is to let your DHCP lease expire while the modem is disconnected from the network. That is obviously if bellsouth is using DHCP. (probablly)

Different providers have different lease times. Comcast uses 4 days. Qwest is 2 in most areas. If your modem is connected when the lease expires, then it will keep it's old IP and get a new lease time. If it's not connected, then it will get a new IP when it does connect, however you don't have control over what IP you get.

Some providers assign IP's based on the modem MAC address. If that is what bell south is doing .. you will need to call them and beg for assistance.

I hope this helps
good luck
