I need to get my iOmega ZipCD650 USB to work in DOS...I've tried various methods - for example, I tried "DUSE.EXE" - but it says "Failed to load USB Storage device".

What can I do to get this thing to work?! Do I need special Drivers?

Current OS: Windows 2000 Pro.
I want to put XP on it, but need this CD-ROM Drive to work from DOS to do it.

The BIOS has no options for USB in DOS or too boot from USB.

You should be able to (in BIOS) set the Boot order to CD first. Put your XP CD in and reboot. The computer will see the CD first and install XP.

Sorry, just re-read your first post. Is this a laptop, or desktop?

I had a similar problem getting a Maddog external usb drive to work. I went to downloaded the drivers, modified my bootdisk and it worked the first time. There's also an Iomega example on this page that might help you.

It's a laptop.

I've been to that site and tried all the suggestions, but the drivers they give just don't work.
