Inventory works sometimes 11.1

Hi,

I have just upgraded from 11 to 11.1 and have started having this wierd problem. I have a 9 slot HP auto loader and when I put in some tapes and run an inventory quite often only some of them are inventoried correctly. For example, I remove 3 tapes and replace them with 3 more. Run inventory and this says it completes fine. When I look at the device manager it still shows all or some of the tapes as the old 3?

This happened last night. I put in the tapes for that night (GFS job), ran an inventory and went home. When I got in this morning the job failed because it couldn't find the correct tapes. Device manager still showed the tapes from days ago although the correct ones were in the drive?

I then did a Dismount/mount and it inventoried correctly.

Any ideas?

Hi,

It looks like CA might have actually resolved this. I saw a new patch QO59859. It says:

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: NT -DOUBLE SIDED OPTICAL MEDIA SHOWN WRONG
----------------------------------------------------
When using double sided optical media, they are
shown improperly in the Backup Manager GUI.

Sounds liek it could be my problem.
