Hello again, I tried both item valuation report via transaction cost and location detail cost.
The location detail cost, does let me choose a cut-off date.
What I wanted to see is a report like the one shown by location details costs but with the cut off date which I can export to excel. The one which I run via transaction costs, though I can set the date, it will give all the transaction details. I will only need the each item quantity and valuation at the cut off date. In this report the exported excel file includes so many rows corresponding to every transactions though reflecting the same average cost per row for each item.
Again, my goal is to see each item's quantity, total value and ave cost by period end ie. Sept 30, which is our YE. This is to reconcile with my ending inventory amounts in the GL at year end.
