use hyper term or someother communication software to telnet - then you can capture.

Putty.exe is free to download

Amen to the Putty. You can save sessions in it so you don't have to always be typing in ip addresses.

However, unless I am doing something wrong (nearly always a good chance of that) try to perform whatever task you want to capture as soon as you get into the session because you can only copy everything in the window (plus buffer) - you can't highlight a couple lines and copy them. You can highlight them, but there is no right-click+copy for the highlighted section - you can only go up to the menu and select Copy All To Clipboard - which gets everything you have done back tot he buffer limit. And that still works but you have to edit stuff out.

If anyone knows a way to get just the highlighted part, I'm all eyes.

Highlight it switch to notepad or whatever and paste. Anything highlighted in Putty is automatically ready to copy.

?! Awesome Guy! I knew there had to be a better way - count on me to always find the stupid way to do something.

Putty seems to be better than what I was using. Lead me in the right direction to setup a capture to a file and i should be in good shape
