Inventory-ing the Tape Library

I'm using Brightstor ArcServe Version 9.x and I change tapes in my library every Monday. If I forget to do an inventory of the library after changing tapes, my nightly backups fail because it cannot find the tape. Once I inventory the tapes and rerun the job, it's fine. Is there any way for me to automatically inventory tapes when I change them?

Also, similiar to another post on here, my tape engine stops every once in a while after completing a backup. Is there a patch or something to fix this? Thanks
