I recently upgraded a customer from Backupexec 8.6 to Backupexec 9.1. The have a HP tape robot. The upgrade went faily well i thougt until today. Over the weekend they run a full backup and they always run inventory on the tapes they are inserting. Today when they should run inventory the choice where greyd out. They could not run inventory. Do somebody out there have suggestions on what to do so that they can run inventory.

There are two ways to insert tapes.

1. manually - open the door and insert a tape
2. by commands - in Backup Exec, Devices tab, click on the slot and select IMPORT.

Which did they use? They should be IMPORTING the tapes.
