invalid page fault in shell32.dll

hi everyone. The problem i've got is when i attempt to start internet explorer i receive the following message:
this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
When i click details, i see the following eroor message:
iexplore caused an invalid page fault in shell32.dll.
I already tried to resolve the issue following what microsoft suggests but without result.
Could please anyone help me to sort this problem out?

try the IE Repair Tool
Start >> Run MSinfo32
Tools >> IE Repair Tool ..choose Repair notrestore to previous config.

do you think if i install a fresh version of iexplore that would resolve the problem?

Did you read the link to microsoft? You can try this go to my computer, then control panel, add/remove software, select Internet explorer, when select change/remove, a menu will popup, select repair and see if that will fix your problem.
