I recently purchase a ancient Cisco 1924 Catalyst switch to get my feet wet in the cisco world of networking.
It came with a standard version of IOS and wanted to upgrade the IOS. Obviously I didn't know what I was doing and came up with an Invalid IOS firmware version error please reload IOS.
It gave me two options:
1) Reload
2) Upgrade system
Not sure if this was the exact message, but have tried both options to no avail. I heard that one can physically flash the EEPROM to reset the IOS.....(Is this true?)
Either way, would anyone know what options I have left to resolve my now inoperative switch?
A link directing me to this would also suffice. Thanks for reading and await any comments as I feel like a rock in quicksand right now.
Thanks again.
