Hi,
Every night I back up using Brightstor 9 on a server running windows server 2000 SP3. I am using Maxell DLT 40/80 tapes. The media is overwritten/formatted nightly before the backup.
The job status shows the backup as complete and finished. When I look in the Activity log, I see a ton of Invalid File Header Signature (E3802) and Invalid File Signature (E3803) errors.
Does anyone have any idea what this could be caused by? I do have verification turned on and it seems to happen during the verification process. It will list a warning saying file contents are changed, then it will list E3802 and E3803 and this trend will continue almost until the end of the verification process in which I no longer get the file contents changed warnings, just a number of E3803 and E3802 errors in a row. I also tried cleaning the drive like Arcserve says to do in the help file.
I did try a restore by session and restored files fine. Is this something to worry about or are the errors a result of the verification?
Thanks,
Ken
