Has anyone upgraded from one to the other recently?
Which is better?

There's quite a few threads on this...

Here's one for example:

You may want to do a search on Tek-Tips for Modular Messaging and see what the folks are saying. The platform is becoming more familiar, so opinions from last year will differ.

But MM is Avayas path for the future. They're overpricing Intuity's right now in order to stear you towards the S3400...

Thanks,
CJH

Auto attendants on the MM system are a pain in the @$$. Not because its differnt, i mean a real pain. For example you have to publish a caller app to the servers. What they dont tell you in the documentation is that it cannot be done from remote desktop, you have to be on the server (ie PC anywhere). That was a day long ordeal to figure out.

RTMCKEE, MM Release 2 took care of the problem of not being able to deploy applications from remote desktop.

They use a mechanical sounding voice for subscribers names on MM that hurts my ears.

What about the system locking up? I hear it has an NT OS, do you think this is a problem? Is the MWI reliable?

The OS on the MAS is Windows 2000 server. The MSS is Linux. Supposedly on release 3 the OS for the MAS will be Windows 2003 server. I think that since release 2 the systems have become more reliable.
