My Intuity MAP5 is not completing its nightly backups. When I try to do a manual backup the Intuity tells me that the tape is either not present or is write protected. (Neither is true). After a re-boot I notice that I have a warning that the tape drive did not rewind the tape. The manual re-assures me that this warning will go away after the nightly backup is completed but since the backup doesn't happen this isn't going to clear.
Will Cleaning the drive fix this or do I need to replace the drive all together?
