Dear All,

I am interested in becoming oracle certified professional, and wish to take the Introduction to SQL exam very soon, but I do not know, if it is allowed by the oracle authorities to take the exam online without going to any prometric center. I know it is not allowed in all other exams in the tracks.

Cheers.

I'm looking for your opinion. I am preparing to take the 1st of two tests required for the Oracle Certified Associate(OCA). I feel that I know the material well and have been studying for 3 months in preparation for the SQL exam (1z0-007). My intention will be to take this online from my home. In addition to a couple books that I bought, I have also purchased a "Self-Test" software package. This software application allows you to test your ability in a timed and un-time environment. The timed environment presents 60 questions that need to be answered in 2 hours. My performance in the un-time environment is 80-90 percent correct answers. However, in the time environment, my performance in 60-70 percent correct.

I believe that the software (the Self-test application that I purchased) is presenting questions that may be more complex than what I would face on the real exam. Also, more questions are presented (60 questions vs 57 on the exam) than what would be on the 2 hour exam.

Can anyone tell me if my expectation of the exam is correct. Will my performance on the real exam, given my self test performance, be a passing effort?

Is there any documentation available that provides examples of questions that actually appeared on passed OCA SQL exams?

Hi,

I'm also preparing for this exam. I've read a book (SYBEX study guide) and then reviewed it by reading a testking (
I've done some Microsoft Exams by first reviewing a testking and must say that it really helps. On the 2 exams that I 've taken, I didn't see a question that didn't came out of the testking.

By reading testking I allways learn a lot of new stuff that I didn't see or overlooked in the books.

I hope this helps !

Kind regards,

Geert Verhoeven

GeertVerhoeven: thank you for your time. I'll take a look at the testking website.
