Here are a couple of samples I extracted from a Savegroup Completion Report :

Sample #1

Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: NetWorker Savegroup: (info) starting GRP1 (with 1 client(s))
Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: NetWorker Savegroup: (notice) GRP1 completed, 1 client(s) (All Succeeded)
Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: Start time: Fri Aug 01 10:00:02 2003
Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: End time: Fri Aug 01 10:00:02 2003
Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: --- Successful Save Sets ---
Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: clienta.com: All level=skip, 0 KB 00:00:00 0 files
Aug 01 10:00:02 legato.com: clienta.com: index:clienta.com level=skip,0 KB 00:00:00 0 files

Sample #2

Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: NetWorker Savegroup: (info) starting GRP2 (with 1 client(s))
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: NetWorker Savegroup: (notice) GRP2 completed, 1 client(s) (Succeeded)
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: hostname resolution failed for 1 client(s)
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: Savegroup failed for the following client(s):
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: client1
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: Start time: Tue Aug 05 12:00:02 2003
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: End time: Tue Aug 05 12:00:05 2003
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: --- Successful Save Sets ---
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: client2: All level=skip, 0 KB 00:00:00 0 files
Aug 05 12:00:05 legato.com: client2: index:client2 level=skip, 0 KB 00:00:00 0 files

I am assuming that "All Succeeded" in sample #1 means the backup of ALL clients in the group was completed without any problems whilst "Succeeded" in sample #2 means the backup of at least one of the clients was completed okay but one or more of them failed. Is this correct?

Plus, I am assuming that had NONE of the backups for a group worked then the message would have been "Failed", though I have no examples of this. Again, am I right in this assumption?

Are there any other "status" messages that might be displayed other than the ones I have mentioned above?

Furthermore, am I right in thinking that an "All Succeeded" line will always be followed a "Start time" line whilst "Succeeded" or "Failed" lines will always be followed by details about the failure(s).

Sorry about all these questions but I am a total newbie at this and am trying to get to grips with the layout/format of this report for a project I am working on.

Yes, this is right.

I think so. However, i do not have an example as well. Do
not forget that you should not really look for a certain
keyword but look at the complete text.

For instance, "All succeeded" does not necessarily mean
that you have ever backed up anything. Look at both examples:
Because you used the default schedule which runs incrementals
throughout the week and you obviously did not change any data,
no files were backed up at all.

Raraely, but this could well be. Do not forget that you usually
will not see such message without a reason. So if there is
no reason, you will not see it.

Yes.
