We have a W2K domain (all static Ip's) the W2K server IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx. On our W2K server I have DNS running serving our internal group. The problem that I have is that the whole corporate intranet-web site resides on a server with IP uuu.uuu.uuu.uuu and who knows where and they also have their own DNS server. If I let my users use their DNS server they can connect and view the web page but if I use my DNS server (DC) IP as their DNS they can't view the web page. I have entered the DNS server into various formats in the IP config in network neighbourhood with no avail. Also when I use their DNS server as preffered they can't change their domain passwords on our side. Will the host file help out?

you could use a hosts file, but assuming that you're all under one domain...why not just create a HOST entry on your DNS server for WWW? If you're not the same domain, find out if you can host a secondary zone of the other domain...
