Several users on the network type the address of the webserver without the ex. thedomain.com as opposed to There are multiple DCs on the network and the server the users reach seems to be random. NSLOOKUP on "thedomain.com" reveals the addresses of all the domain controllers in a list. The question is - does anybody know how I can get the address "thedomain.com" to go to the web server exclusively. I tried an alias DNS entry for "thedomain.com" pointing to the webserver but no luck.

edit your domain policy as follows

User configuration >> Windows Settings >> Internet Explorer maintenance >> connection >> proxy settings

Under the execptions box type in \\yourdomain.com

Then when anyone types in yourdomian.com at their browser they will be directed to your webserver.

Hope this helps
