Quick question. I have a 1912 switch and a 2514 router. Is is possible to configure trunking between those two? Lammle's book stated that the lowest router model that supports ISL is a 2600. Any suggestions?

Also, the 1721 does do intervlan routing. You are correct about the 1720 NOT being able to, though. I think that in fact is the only difference between the 1720 and the 1721.

Hi.

I had one 1710 and it does supports IEEE 802.1Q, i had it for few weeks with my Cable provider doing trunk with one 2950 switch.

Yes all the 1700 series support the intervlan-routing eccept for the 1720 and 1750.
