I wonder if anyone has come accoss this problem that i have having, i have a Nokia box running ipso, NG FP2. I get some sites that time out, of dont display the contents correctly, they show like all mumbo jumbo character and that. But, when i allow those sites in through port 80 on the rulebase it shows fine, i have had this problem with amazon.com - users were`nt able to use the online shopping cart, but after i added it to rulebase they could.

I am now starting to get more and more sites, we cant access yahoo mail, please if any one can help...

Many regards

do you use any form of virus scanning on the pages as i found that when using trends http scanner that i got a problem almost the same

We use macafee virus, but we dont page scan.

your original rule for internet access what is its construction like? and how does it difer from the specific rule you create?

do you use a resource in the rule and if so do you do any html weeding (action tab of uri resource)

the internet rule is
internalnet any http accept (number 53),

and then the rule that i created was
any special_servers http accept

I do use some uri rsources for blocking .exe .mpg .zips etc. there are about 12 types in total that i block.

This setup used to work fine onthe NT box that had FW1 4.1 on, as far as i can remember this only started when we had a new Nokia IP380 installed.

We do not use any weeding on the uri resource.
