Internet Mail service not starting automatically

Exchange 5.5, and all the Exchange services are set to auto start. However only the Internet Mail Service refuses to start automatically. I have to manually start it and then everything runs fine. Any ideas anyone!?

Take a look in the event viewer, get the error code and look it up at
