I have recently upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000. In the Exchange 5.5, I could delete an email stuck in the internet queue (at user request) by going to Internet Mail connector, queue. Delete and click refresh and the stuck messages were gone.
In exchange 2000, I am trying to remove a message stuck in the outgoing mail queue due to a bad address. I go to System manager, xchangeserver, protocols, SMTP, Queues. I have 4 queues - Local Delivery, Messages Pending Submission, Messages Awaiting Directory lookup, and Messages waiting to be routed. Under that, I have several messages listed, including the one I want to delete. I right click and select "delete all messages without sending NDR" and the messages don't go away. My book refers to a queue called Final Destination Currently unreachable. I don't see that queue. I would appreciate any guidance you can offer. Thanks, Alice
