You can make your own keyboard shortcuts to any program on your computer.
Go to the start menu, right click on the program you want to setup a shortcut for, click properties, then you should see a place to enter "Shortcut Key" simply type any letter or number into that box, it should change to read Ctrl + Alt + Whatever letter you typed.
Click OK and then you should be able to press that combination to launch that program.
Every key on your keyboard can be used.
I made up a little Notepad doc and put an icon for it in quick launch while I was learning all the shortcuts I setup, now every program I use is launched via keyboard shortcuts. Keeps the desktop neat and clean.
