Using Group Policy, How do I prevent users from accessing all web sites except the 10 or so that are approved?

Thanks in advance for all yor help........

Hi,

You can do this through group policy.

In group policy there are setting called under "user cofiguratuin tab" --> "windows settins" --> " internet Explorer Maintainance" . Here u can chnge the setting for perticular group. Here u can restrict the sites whichever you want to restrict. the option is in Security ---> Security zones nad content ratings --> Click on import the current content rating sttings and modify the settings form there. here u can specify the URL which u wanna to be restrict.

I do this in our domain by forcing a fake proxy on all users I want to restrict, then I set the policy to configure the client to not use the proxy for the web sites that I want to allow then access to. This configuration is set under User Configuration\Windows Settings\Internet Explorer Maintenance\Connection\Proxy Settings.

Additionally under User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer I enable the Disable changing proxy settings policy.

Thank You for all your help......

The suggestion for the proxy server was what i was looking for.
