We currently have a Linux mail server for all internet inbound and outbound email and a new EX2K3 server for all internal email. Becuase our outside offices were not connected to us we would send them mail through the linux server for them to retrieve joe@company.com. However when we set up this new MS system, we gave it the domain name company.com and now all email is considered internal and will not route to our Linux mail servers. Those accounts that are not set up get the error message "A configuration error in the e-mail system caused the message to bounce between two servers or to be forwarded between two recipients. Contact your administrator."
Also in outlook the outside company employee email accounts were External email accounts and in the address book they had GLOBES next to their names. Now all of these addresses appear to be internal and are either bouncing between two servers or being forwarded between two recipents.
Any help is appreciated.
