I have had to reistall the o/s on a 98 machine. I then added internet connection sharing with dial-up networking. I have all the approriate protocols installed on the network and all the machines on the network can communicate freely. My problem is the machine that has the Internet connection. When I get the properties of the Dialer for the ISP there's no option to share this connection even though ICS is installed. When I installed it I was then prompted to insert a floppy to create a client disk but hey there's no point really cos if I set the other machines to obtain IP automatically, they just come up with 169. blah blah address so the ICS machine is not handing out ip addresses. In Control Panel/Internet options/connections everything looks as if it is set to share the one and only connection available but it's not happening. Any ideas? This was working before the reinstall and Dell had to supply me with the Product Key.
