Internet Connection Problem

I'm using Windows 98 SE and ADSL USB modem.

The problem started after I installed sygate personal fiwewall. I can dial in to my ISP using my broadband connection, but Internet Explorer,email,IRC and ICQ are not able to connect to their respective servers.

The problem is still there after I removed the firewall. I can ping to but IE just cannot access the website, the error is "cannot find server". Microsoft outlook is not able to access my ISP email server too.

Please give me some advice. Thanks.
