Internet connection drops on xp 1

Hi, i am having problems on my xp machine, i am connected to the internet via router -> broadband modem all has beeen wel for a while but now all of a sudden all seems to be ok but then iclick on ieexplorer and this time no websites will load or nothing, the internet is still on as i can chat to other people. what could be the problem

Hi, thanks, but this doesnt seem to solve the problem, as i was typing ths i clicked on a link and the internet was working fine yet, then i opend up another borwser an dit just went again. also i do have a lan cable with some sharp bends in it, coudl that be the problem?

With NTL? They are doing maintenance this week. And although it should all be ok by 6am, I have noticed wiht my connection that long after this, there are still connection problems wiht web pages. Again with me, teamspeak 2 etc still work.

Replace the cable.

Hi, thanks, i replaced the cable and all seemed to work, but still problems, i phoned my isp which checked the router and found the packets coming in were different than the ones coming out so they fixed that. thanks guys
