Hi all!

For some misterious reasons (meaning something I changed and not remember what) I am able to see the internet, (browse) without problems. But I am unable to retreive mail by none of my account (pop3), except those from our Exchange Server. I am also unable to use messenger, from which I receive a message telling me I haven't been able to
connect to the messenger service and suggest me to check for my connection to the internet or check proxy configuration.

The other machines on my network are running just fine, they can surf the internet, retrieve their mail (analogous to mine) and use MSN Messenger. I am in an AD network, several flavors of Windows. I have two servers running Windows 2000 Server. One is the DC and the other has ISA server installed on it.

Any Ideas of what's going on?

Thanks

Apparently your ISA server is letting traffic for MSN and other things get through, if other people are using them. Are you connecting through the ISA server as a NAT client, or have you installed Microsoft Firewall Client?

Internet Explorer has it's own proxy settings, and can use an ISA server without the client installed, but the other applications wouldn't find their way to the Internet.

If you already have it installed, it should show up in your Control Panel under "Firewall Client". If it's there, you can open it up and try refeshing the files, and making sure it's enabled.

If you'd like to try installing/re-installing Microsoft Firewall Client, the path is
\\servername\MSPCLNT\SETUP

Thanks Gersen

I tried installing/reinstalling de firewall client but I still have the same problem. Looking into the internet I found several issues about the erro I'm receiving in Outlook, the 0x800ccc0e error. In one of the sites, I found someone telling someone to try to telnet the mail server on port 25. So, I did that and was unable to reach the server. However, I went to another computer on my network and was able to get response from the server.
So, I think now, there are some subjects involved
1) ISA Server
2) Symantec Corporte Edition Antivirus

Any other Ideas?

Thanks
