Good morning all:

Have a situation where we could dial a number internationaly fine but now getting the following denial event 1643: Off-hook dialing time out D1=0x71 D2=0xac. Have checked the route pattern and ars analysis and all looks ok.

Any ideas?

How many digits are you dialling? Does this tally with the ARS entry?

Hey definityandcmuk,

We are dialing 17 digits and we have min 10 max 18 on the ARS analysis tables. I have looked ta the list trace station XXXX and note that everytime I dial a number no matter what COR I have assigned it is going to our trunk 1 (local PRI's) instead of trunk 2 (LD PRI). Am trying now to determine why that is. The ARS table for 011 uses pattern 2 and when I go to route pattern 2, it has GRP 2; FRL 3; NPA Blank; and PFX MRK 4. I have tried changing each of these to no avail, every entry still gets me to trunk group 1. I have also changed Route 2 and removed teh 2nd entry for GRP 1 and left only grp 2, but I am still being routed to trunk 1 when I do a list trace.

Thank you definityandcmuk for all of your assistance.

We finally got an answer from our LD provider that they changed the way calls are routed through the LD span and it's now no longer needed to dial a 1 to access international calls. Once we removed that from the dialstring and indicated to the PBX to delete the 1 if dialed in front of the 011, the calls route out as they should.
