I'm running a MISC 6.0XC with a NAM running 4.1. I have one extension that is sending CFNA to the general delivery mailbox for calls from internal extensions only. Calls to his DID, or that come through the AA, route to his mailbox normally.

I searched the archives, and there's a thread from about five years ago ( that complains of the same problem, but no resolution was provided. Anyone have any ideas?

Do the mailbox number and ext. number match? If you have, say, ext 225 FNA to voice mail after 4 rings but no mailbox attached then calls to that ext will go to Gen. Del. If the same user has a mailbox other than 225 and I access it through the dir. then my call will go directly to that mailbox without ringing a set.

Ext number and mbox number are both 234. About the only thing abnormal about his mailbox is there is no greeting recorded (just a name in the directory) but that shouldn't cause any issues.

User was a member of some (unused) hunt groups, but removing him from these did not resolve the issue.

how many rings to CFNA if your GD has less it superseed all the time

Problem mysteriously resolved itself. Always fun when those happen.

ah yes, got to love those, especially the ones where you simply re-boot, I remember a CP where you would delete a voicemail and creat a new one and the old one was still there, the magic of re-booting, LOL, glad it solved its self
