I have an issue with internal on hold. When an internal call is put on hold there is nothing but a loud buzzing noise. How do I go about troubleshooting this?
Thanks

Check to see if Music is set to yes or no on the RDB (MUS). If yes then it will tell you the music route. do an LTM on that route it will give you the TN(s). Sound like your music source. For a temp fix set MUS to no.

Check for prompt MUS and MURT. This give you Music for internal sets when the call is put in hold.

look for the acod, dial that number, you will hear the same buzz more then likely..

ltm

that will show the tn of the music trunk.. you may see more then one if you have more then 1 group in your switch... trace that back to a bad music source or a bad trunk card...
