All,
I am occasionally getting the following error when trying to send mail.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: FW: Giraffe
Sent: 02/12/2004 09:56
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
xxx.yyy@zzz.co.uk on 02/12/2004 09:56
You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.
<aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 Access denied>
----------------------------------------------------------
This problem seems to happen very infrequently and is difficult to reproduce.
It can happen on any of the PCs within our domain, when logged into the domain and using an Outlook 2003 client which is logged in to the users mailbox on the Exchange server. The mail generates the above bounced message almost immediately.
It looks as though the Exchange server is occasionally deciding that, for some reason, a user that doesn't have relay permissions is trying to send a mail, although that user has authenticated to the domain and is actually logged on to the Exchange server with their mailbox open.
Can anyone shed any light on what may be causing this problem ? I'm quite new to Exchange 2003 so any help anybody can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Rob
