We are experiencing intermittent major alarms on our simplex PNC connection in a G3R V.6. Our conection is from the EI Card to the SNI in a center stage switch configuration. When these alarms happen, everything from station to station dialing to inbound and outbound dialing to access to VM and calls holding in queue in CMS w/ agents available happen. It lasts for approx. 3 -6 minutes and then the alarms disappear and it goes back to a warning.

1. Has anyone ever experienced this problem before?

and

2. How do we go about trying to rectify the situation?

As you can see from the version, this switch has not been upgraded in a long time and we use it to support a 24x7 call center.

How many Port Networks are connected to the Center Stage Switch? Do all of the Port Networks fail or only one?

Kevin

There are 2 port networks connected. One is the cabinet right next to it and the other is an EPN in Canada.

All the networks have varying outages and/or call processing problems during the intermittent alarms.

There are only a few common elements to the Center Stage Switch; the Switch Node Clock (TN572) or the 631 Power Units in the CSS.
