Has anyone here encountered intermittent voice connection in Nortel CS1000 using I2004 ip phones? Please advise..?

Whats happeniing when i get a call and lift the handset i dont hear anything, even when I dial out i can the phone ringing but when the receiving end lift the handset i cant hear anything.

Im not sure if the issue is on the cisco switch or cs1000 phone system.

Thank you,

Max

Sounds like a one way voice problem, if its intermittant try test calls and when you get one that fails hold the call up and trace the path. Identify the dsp used is it on VGMC, MC32s or DSP Daughter card. Disable the card and try to reproduce the fault again if all is well trace down the fault on the card or replace. You can hear the ring tone because it is produced in the phone if it is Phase 2.
