I didn't read the acticle, I am tired of internet sites that require a subscription. I use to go to the newyork times, but I found that too many times their writing was not based on fact, but more on emotion, so now I go elsewhere for my news.

Well, it didn't work for me with the URL of the article above.

Interesting. It did for me.

I pasted the link from above into the bugmenot thing, and it gave me a login.

I then clicked on the link from this thread and used the login bugmenot gave me. It let me right in.

Worked for me. I tried just typing in nytimes.com and pasting the link in the thread - I got different login info, but it worked both ways.
Anyway, this should get you access to NYTimes:

Thanks, guys.

Maybe I will try again. Maybe not. I still will have to remeber it, or write it down and then lose the paper, or remember to go to this site again the next time I need. And I don't want to keep all the subscription/login cookies on my work machine. So it still comes down to the same issues - I have to have a log of all the subscriptions/registrations/passwords, and carry it around.

The thing is, my husband has this free subscription to NYT, and I have it to Washington Post, but I don't have the details with me at work. If I still remember when I come home, and have time, then maybe ...

Never mind. Too much trouble. I remember only my network password at work, and Tek-Tips.
