InterDev Master vs. Local Mode 1

Good morning.

I don't understand what the advantage is of working in local mode? Could someone shed some light on this for me? I'd really appreciate because I might be missing out on a valuable feature since I don't understand the purpose.

Well one of the advantage of local project is that you have all your projects mapped to your Visual Studio Project directory and not in your

directory, therefor you will not fill up that directory with unnecesarely files.

On the other hand if you dont have a local web server you could create an master project on a web server that allows you to modify/preview files.

One draw back of using local project it will be the fact that you always have to manually overwrite your

http://wwwroot

files with the ones from local project directory. Somehow VS6.0 forgets to do that.
