We want to interconnect an Ericsson MD110 and Nortel Meridian 1 using VoIP.

Any experience ?
Regards,
Erik

What are the technical conditions on each side ?
Both switches with latest SW ?

Do you mean IP trunking??
if this is what you want ,you can do this from E/// side in BC12SP1 software version via ELU32. if Nortel supports H323 and H245 protocols, this should be no problem

I recomend you to use two webswitches and tunnel a q-sig link over IP. This way you will get the features that exist on q-sig in between (Call back, Frowading, Path replacment....). H323 the Ericsson way do only support BC to other systems.

As requested by "duvel" : both switches will be upgraded to the latest version if necessary.
Nortel : Version 25
MD110 : BC12

Please dont confuse ErikHemelers with h.323 extensions
in this request .
As fidde says , he needs some equipment to
interconnect the pbx's .
The only tested solution for this is some kind
of ip-router/ip-gateway with g.703/qsig supported interface .
The services between Nortel and MD is to be looked at as
a bonus , what we could get to work in GFP .
The use two webswitches and tunnel a q-sig link over IP
can be one alternative .
There is also Cisco and other like RAD that delivers usable equipments .

I recommend a following setup:
[tt]MD ip-router ip-router Nortel/tt]
[tt]|--| |--| |--| |--|[/tt]
[tt]| |<-qsig->| |<----lan/wan---->| |<-qsig->| |[/tt]
[tt]|--| |--| |--| |--|[/tt]
