I have a customer with an Option 51 that wants an intercom key on his phone that he can press and talk to his assistant over her speaker without her having to lift the handset. Is this possible on the Option 51?

The Voice Call feature allows you to talk through the speaker of a Meridian digital telephone from another Meridian digital telephone. The called party does not have to lift the handset to hear you. For a two-way conversation, the called party must lift the handset or activate Handsfree, unless Handsfree Voice Call is enabled.
To apply the feature to a key enter the following text when making a CHG (change) to a digital set:
key xx vcc yyyy (where xx is the key number and yyyy is the DN of the set receiving the Voice Call)
