Interbase performance

I am using Interbase open source 6.02
Everything it seems to work on good situation
But on one database that works whith 10 users and 10 Analysers on small Laboratory that work in a query mode barcoded system ,they report to me that that sometimes the clients are to slowly and all the jobs seems to be delayed
My Question is its network trafic problem ,its the WIndows 2000 server
its the Interbase server cannot serve the clients ??????
The application is written with Delphi 5 IBX 5.02

Not sure exactly would be causing your problems, but in many cases - transactions can be the cause of performance problems.

I would suggest running a backup of the database (Using GBAK) then restoring the database to clear any problem transactions.

If this fixes problem, then problem re-appears, you may need to look at the Delphi App to see how transactions are being handled and if they are being commited properly. Hope this help..

Yes i backup/restore the database every two months
The size of the Database is about 400MB
Every posting method is following by a commit,rollback transaction
