When I boot up and after I enter the password I get an error message "The registry information is missing. Please run the Interbase Configuration Utility". It doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference, everything seems to run OK, it's just annoying.
I have run Norton's One Click trouble shooter, RegVac, System File Checker, and reinstalled Netscape 7.1 and Norton System Works with no results. I then downloaded "Registry Medic" which seems to be popular (650,000 downloads) and it found over 700 errors in the registry which it fixed. The system, W2K, runs much better now but it still didn't solve the problem. I should mention that I have been plaqued with viruses and worms, etc recently most of which are caught by Norton Antivirus. I update the virus library and scan every three or four days to make sure the system is clean.
Does anyone know what this message means and where I can find the Interbase Configuration Utility?
Thanks much
