hi, just wondering if you can connect to interbase using JSP.. how do you connect <code sample?>? any ODBC drivers out there?

Im not sure about JSP - but there is a module available for Java called Interclient. I did look at using Java as an interface to a database myself, but what with the sandbox problems and Microsoft dropping support for Java in IE (because presumable they cant own it ;).) I decided to leave it.

Opp.

Don't use ODBC for JSP. Use JDBC driver, because the connections are faster and easier to use.
you have two options with interbase JDBC drivers: Borland Interclient driver (old technique) or firebird JDBC driver (new but only for firebird 1 / interbase 6 databases).

It's no problem and very easy to use Jakarta Tomcat for JSP and Interbase/firebird.

hope this helps
Thomas
