When my users dial an access code, I need them to be able to enter their "last four of SSN" in order to hear which shift they need to cover.

Can this be performed through the Definity G3, AUDIX voicemail system, or do I need third party vendor equipment?

Users will dial 1-800-123-4567, they will be prompted to enter their "SSN" and then a voice message will say, "User "7534", you will work the "3rd shift".......

Something to this affect........I have no idea where to start!!!

I think an Integrated Voice Response (IVR), such as a Conversant or Periphonics, would be more appropriate.

You could also use an Avaya Octel 200 to accomplish the application.

How many folks are there...?

If not that many, try VRTs within a vector... then just tell it to go to announcement X1, X2, or X3 depending on VRT...

For example:

goto step 4 if digits in table 1
goto step 4 if digits in table 2
goto step 4 if digits in table 3
announcement 1234 (1st shift)
announcement 1235 (2nd shift)
announcement 1236 (3rd shift)
stop

Each VRT can have 100 entries...

Thanks,
CJH
