Our analysis group writes our specifications in Word 2000. We keep the data definitions in an Access database. When a data item is referenced in a spec, the user is able to hyperlink to a web application that displays the data definition for that item. Using the back arrow returned the user to the original location in the spec.
We've begun placing our specs on the corporate intranet, and this is creating a problem. A user who accesses the document via the browser can still link to the data definition, but the back arrow is no longer bringing him to the proper location in the document. Instead, the user is returned either to the first page of the doc, or to the last used bookmark. Is there any way to channge things so the user will be returned to the proper place.
