Hi,

I've got 2 internal drives in a p650 (mirrored) - the app we are running on the server spools everything to the /tmp space, so the intenal drives are 50 - 70% busy, and we are only running on 1/2 the users we will be in 2 months time. Is there a way of moving the /tmp space to another volumegroup/disk? Is this a concern for a bottleneck at a later stage when all the suers are using the system?

Thanks

If you need a high throuhput - I would move the current /tmp logical volume to the external RAID.
-Unmount /tmp FS
-use "cplv -v <NEW_VolumeGroupe>",
-remove the original /tmp Logical volume,
-rename the new LV to the orinial LV name using "chlv"
-then remount the /tmp FS.

Long live king Moshiach !
