I was told by a Dell representative that Windows 2000 does not support HyperThreading. Seeing the sales people are not the most technical people, I simply didn't worry about it at first.
I then got a second source telling me the same thing.... Funny thing is, I find no reference of such a thing and I would think it would be a serious enough topic to speak about.
I've got Win2k systems running with and without HT and I see no difference which may suggest they are right.
Does anybody have a good reference source on this topic? A good link would be appreciated, especially if from MS or Intel.
So far, I've seen that it might be possible for the server versions to use it and WinXP. It seems that W2K Pro don't use the technology....
